Peattie Solar Farm
Introduction
Welcome to the project website for greentech’s proposal to develop a solar farm called Peattie Solar Farm in Perthshire, located southwest of Kettins and east of Burrelton.
We submitted a planning application to Perth & Kinross Council for Peattie Solar Farm in late January 2025 and the application has now been validated with application number 25/00104/FLM. We would like to take this opportunity to thank local residents and community representatives for their input on the proposal to date.
The site covers circa 45.75 hectares and is for 22MW of solar energy. The solar panels will be set on frames in rows running east to west and will be inclined at an angle of about 20° and face south and will be raised above the ground by 0.9m - 1.6m and will have a maximum height of up to 3.36m.
We went through several iterations of the design of the project, including taking into account feedback from nearby residents regarding increased setback from households and increased natural screening. The exhibition events held in September and October 2024 helped inform the design of the proposal.
A Proposal of Application Notice (PoAN) was submitted to Perth & Kinross Council in August 2024 to start a formal consultation process on our plans.
